الكومبس – أوروبية: تواجه إيطاليا حالياً فيضانات هي الأسوأ منذ مئة عام، ضربت منطقة إيميليا – رومانيا في شمال البلاد، وأدت إلى مقتل 14 شخصاّ حتى الساعة.

وأدت الفيضانات إلى أضرار جسيمة في المنطقة، وتشريد نحو عشرين ألف شخص من منازلهم، وسط أنباء عن وجود عشرات العالقين، بينهم عجزة وأشخاص من ذوي الحاجات الخاصة تعثر انقاذهم حتى الساعة.

وارتفع منسوب نحو عشرين نهراً في المنطقة، ما أدى إلى غمر مساحات شاسعة بالمياه، ووصفت الحالة بالكارثية في عدد كبيرٍ من بلداتها وقراها. كما شهدت المنطقة انزلاقات كبيرة للتربة، نتيجة الأمطار الكثيفة.

وتلقت المنطقة كمية ضخمة من المتساقطات خلال أيام قليلة، تعادل ما تتلقاه اجمالاً في ستة أشهر، كما نقلت وسائل إعلام عن سلطاتها.

ودعت السلطات السكان إلى مغادرة منازلهم، والانتقال إلى مراكز الطوارئ التي خصصتها. كما تعمل فرق الإنقاذ على إجلاء العالقين من مختلف بلدات المنطقة المنكوبة.

واعتبر خبراء أن الفيضانات تشكل جزءاً من التغير المناخي الذي سؤثر على جنوب أوروبا كما غيرها من المناطق عالمياً، وسط حديث عن تحول في مناخ حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط، سيحول طقس إيطاليا إلى شبه استوائي.

وكانت أجزاء في جنوب إيطاليا وإسبانيا عانت خلال الأشهر الأخيرة من موجة جفاف كبيرة أثرت على المنتجات الزراعية الضخمة التي تصدرها إلى أوروبا.
